(Patria) - SDA President Bakir Izetbegović is of the opinion that the High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt will not impose changes to the BiH Election Law, and yesterday he spoke with him on the phone regarding the adoption of the Institutions' Budget for 2022, which also includes funds for financing the General Elections 2022.
"Mr. Schmidt will not impose such things, he will remove blockades precisely when the Dayton Peace Agreement is violated and when things are blocked in a very clear and direct way. Just as he did with the decision of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska regarding state property. He said that there will be elections, he asked me what my estimates were regarding the budget, I said that there are some moves, but that I am not sure it will happen, and he said that there will be elections. I think he will be ready to impose something there, but to impose the Election Law, he will certainly not do that," said Izetbegović.
He said that the High Representative is obliged to protect the Dayton Peace Agreement, and that elections are part of Dayton.
