SBB demands punishment for attackers of journalists in Višegrad

SBB most sharply condemns the attacks on FTV and N1 journalistic teams by members of the Ravna Gora Chetnik Movement who paraded in Višegrad, the party announced, reports the Patria News Agency.

The fact that we live in a country where parades of paramilitary formations are legally organized in honor of an infamous Chetnik leader, while journalists are prevented from reporting on it to the wider public through physical attacks and vile chauvinistic insults, is a clear indicator that Bosnia and Herzegovina urgently needs fundamental institutional and legal reforms.

In order to build mutual trust among peoples and towards the institutions of the state of BiH, SBB calls on the competent law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into this attack within a reasonable time and to take punitive measures against the attackers, the statement reads.
