SBB supports Komšić and Džaferović's stance on NATO

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Alliance for a Better Future (SBB) expresses its full support for the positions of the BiH Presidency members, Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović, regarding the unblocking of the NATO path, as a key prerequisite for the formation of a new convocation of the Council of Ministers.

"A special responsibility and obligation towards current and future generations is to remind that NATO played a key role in stopping the initiated genocide against Bosniaks, and accordingly, our country's accession to this Alliance must be understood as both a state and a national interest.

SBB, in its founding and program documents, as well as its entire previous work, treats Euro-Atlantic integration as a priority in foreign policy, defense, security, as well as economic and integration terms.

The current geostrategic situation in the world and our region obliges all members of the BiH Presidency to recognize the accession to the NATO alliance as a permanent strategic interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and all its citizens, and to behave accordingly on a daily basis within state institutions.

The interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the fastest possible formation of a new Council of Ministers, which is the responsibility and obligation of those political parties that have received the largest number of mandates. Also, during the formation of the new Council of Ministers, the defense portfolio should be led by a person of continuity who, like the current minister, will make maximum efforts to ensure the soonest possible admission of our country to the NATO alliance," the statement from the Alliance for a Better Future reads.
