Consultation on Combating Organized Crime and Terrorism

The 15th Consultation of Judges and Prosecutors of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the topic "Combating Organized Crime and Terrorism" will be held in Neum from June 1 to 4, 2016.

The consultation will be organized at the Grand Hotel Neum. As part of the consultation, on Friday, June 3, starting at 9:30 AM, a special panel titled "Expanded Confiscation of Proceeds of Crime in Domestic and Comparative Jurisprudence" will be held.

Judges and prosecutors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Serbia, and Croatia will present their papers at the panel. The organization of the panel is supported by the Center for Research of Policies for Countering Crime from Sarajevo, as part of the project "Strengthening Local Capacities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Fight Against Corruption and Serious Forms of Crime through the Confiscation of Proceeds of Crime".

The project is financed by the Government of Great Britain. The Director of the Center, Eldan Mujanović, will give a lecture as part of this panel. Mr. Mujanović particularly emphasizes the importance of continuous education and familiarization of judicial office holders in BiH with the best domestic and international practices regarding the confiscation of proceeds of crime.
