(Patria) - The Saudi Embassy in Lebanon has asked its citizens to leave Lebanese territory immediately and warned them not to approach areas where armed conflicts will occur, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported early on Saturday.
The embassy also reiterated the importance of adhering to the decision to prevent Saudi citizens from traveling to Lebanon.
The Saudi Embassy in Lebanon issued a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
On August 1, the United Kingdom also updated its travel advice for Lebanon, noting that travel is advised "except for essential travel" to parts of southern Lebanon near the Ein el-Hilweh Palestinian camp.
At least 13 people, mostly militants, were killed in fighting that broke out in the camp on July 29 between the main Fatah faction and hardline extremists, security sources in the camp told Reuters.
Ein el-Hilweh is the largest of 12 Palestinian camps in Lebanon, hosting about 80,000 of up to 250,000 Palestinian refugees across the country, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.
