(Patria) - Saudi Arabia condemned yesterday the latest Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Al Arabiya reported.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the condemnation and rejection of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of the continuation of Israeli aggression against the brotherly Lebanese Republic," the statement said, emphasizing Saudi rejection of "targeting Lebanon's sovereignty" and its army.
The Ministry further expressed Saudi Arabia's condolences for those killed in the attacks, including soldiers on duty, expressing Riyadh's solidarity with Lebanon "and its brotherly people against anyone who threatens its security and stability."
Israel began attacks on Lebanon on March 2 in response to the militant group Hezbollah entering the US-Israeli war against Iran on the side of Tehran after the killing of the supreme leader of the Islamic Republic.
Israel and Lebanon have repeatedly agreed to ceasefires which, however, have never been respected.
In the latest attack, Israel killed several Lebanese soldiers by striking their vehicle in southern Lebanon.
