Saudi Arabia: Occupation of Gaza is a war crime

(Patria) - Saudi Arabia on Friday most strongly condemned the decision of the Israeli National Security Council on the occupation of Gaza, calling it a war crime and an act of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people, reports Anadolu.

In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is stated that Saudi Arabia most strongly and forcefully condemns any Israeli move to take control of Gaza.

The Ministry warned that this plan represents a clear violation of international humanitarian law and an obvious disregard for the historical and legal rights of the Palestinian people to their own land.

The statement also criticized Israel's inhumane practices, including the use of starvation as a weapon and the continuation of the siege of the Gaza Strip, claiming that these are measures that reflect extremist policies aimed at the forced displacement of Palestinians.

Riyadh expressed deep concern over the failure of the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to stop Israeli aggression, stating that such silence contributes to the worsening of the humanitarian catastrophe and undermines international legal norms.

The Kingdom once again called for urgent and decisive international action to stop the aggression, protect civilians, and enable the delivery of humanitarian aid.
