(Patria) - Saudi Defence Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman, on Sunday awarded Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir with the King Abdulaziz Medal for Excellence, reported the official Saudi News Agency, as cited by Al Arabiya.
The medal was awarded by order of King Salman, in recognition of Munir's "distinguished efforts in strengthening strategic relations and cooperation between the two nations," SPA stated.
Munir received the award during a meeting with Prince Khalid in Riyadh.
Discussions covered the long-standing Saudi-Pakistani relations, defence cooperation, and efforts in supporting international peace and security, SPA added.
