Saudi Arabia criticizes: It is not true that we do not help Syrian refugees, we have a million of them here

Arab media have criticized the campaign being waged on social networks against Saudi Arabia, following the wave of refugees arriving daily from Syria to Europe, reports the news agency Patria.

Activists, as well as many European officials, have publicly criticized Saudi Arabia, accusing it of closing its doors to Syrian refugees fleeing the wave of wars, while portraying many Western countries as offering refuge to refugees.

Ajel.sa states that Saudi Arabia has so far allocated 500,000,000 KM for refugees not only in Syria but also in other war-torn countries, and that the country continues to send aid.

- Around 1,000,000 Syrians reside in Saudi Arabia, both legally and illegally - states Ajel.sa, adding that Saudi Arabia allocates millions daily to help Syrian refugees, refugees from Burma, Somalia, Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries.

Saudi Arabia, according to Arab media, approved one billion dollars last week to help Yemen recover.

Finally, for refugees from Syria to reach Saudi Arabia, they must pass through Syria, Jordan, or Iraq, and only then enter Saudi Arabia, which carries great risks for the refugees. Hence the recommendation that the safest route for refugees is to Turkey and then to European countries, reports NAP.
