
(Patria) - High-ranking diplomats from Russia and the Gulf Arab states praised the "successful" efforts of the OPEC+ group countries, stating that they contributed to the stability of the global oil market, according to a joint statement.
The two sides also agreed to work on developing supply chains for energy resources, according to a statement from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Reuters reported.
Foreign ministers of the Gulf Arab states and Russia met in Moscow for the Sixth Joint Ministerial Meeting within the framework of the strategic dialogue between the GCC and Russia.
The meeting was hosted by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The ministers emphasized the importance of continuing OPEC+ efforts, "and the need for all participating countries to adhere to the OPEC+ agreement, in a manner that serves the interests of producers, consumers, and supports global economic growth."
They also highlighted the importance of unimpeded access to global food and fertilizer markets.
