The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić and the Minister of Justice of BiH Josip Grubeša, held a meeting in Strasbourg with representatives of the intergovernmental body for the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing (FATF) to discuss the implementation of the Action Plan for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Significant progress in the implementation of the Action Plan, achieved by Bosnia and Herzegovina since the meeting held in January 2017, was noted. The political commitment of Bosnia and Herzegovina to fulfill its obligations was particularly recognized and welcomed.
For the Action Plan to be fully implemented, three more legislative acts remain, which are currently in the parliamentary procedure.
The adoption of these laws by the competent parliaments is expected during June 2017, which also depends on the timing of the FATF delegation's on-site visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the first step in the process of removing Bosnia and Herzegovina from the current "light grey list".
