Šarović in Turkey: Discussions on export of meat, flour, oil

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Šarović today, with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybekçi and other members of the Government in Ankara, held final negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between BiH and Turkey and the remaining issues related to amendments and additions to this agreement, which is important for Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was announced from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, reports Patria agency.

The subject of the talks was the export of beef to Turkey, as well as the export of chicken and lamb meat and meat products. Future regimes for the growing export of flour, oil, glucose sugar, and other products were also discussed. Although the negotiations were very intensive, Minister Šarović expressed satisfaction with the degree of agreement reached so far between the two sides on numerous, previously open issues in exports from BiH to Turkey.

We remind you that the export of flour alone from BiH to Turkey has increased by as much as 16 times compared to previous years, and the amendments to the Free Trade Agreement will contribute to the further rise of total trade between the two countries. Negotiations are expected to be fully concluded during the next month.
