(Patria) - Sweden is the largest single donor to Bosnia and Herzegovina, with numerous development projects in our country, it was emphasized at today's meeting of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović with the newly appointed Ambassador of Sweden to BiH Johanna Stromquist.
The meeting discussed the implementation of current development programs, which primarily relate to projects in the field of agriculture and economy, the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, and environmental protection. Thus, among other things, the project "Green Economic Development" is currently being implemented, which aims to improve energy management in public buildings, which is particularly significant considering that more than 75 percent of public buildings in BiH have inadequate thermal insulation. The significance of the project is also reflected in solving various environmental problems associated with increased energy consumption, such as air and water pollution and climate change.
Minister Šarović thanked the Swedish ambassador for the continuous assistance that Sweden provides to BiH, as well as for the strong support of this country for the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
