SARAJEVO, (Patria) - SDS President Mirko Šarović announced that on Wednesday SDS representatives will attend the session of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, where the Proposal for a law on amendments to the Law on Excise Duties, i.e. their abolition, should be considered. Šarović said in an interview for the show "U Fokusu" with Zvonko Komšić, which will be broadcast tonight on OBN television, that the SDS will support the abolition of excise duties on oil and petroleum derivatives.
"These topics of excise duties, removal of taxes on food. Perhaps I might have some initiatives. All these topics are of general interest for both the RS and the FBiH and for every one of our citizens, why wouldn't I go," said Šarović.
These amendments were proposed by SDP BiH representatives Saša Magazinović, Nermin Nikšić, Nada Mladina, and Zukan Helez.
Incidentally, SDS representatives have not been attending sessions of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly for months, since the blockade orchestrated by the SNSD and Milorad Dodik began at the end of July 2021, which was joined by the opposition, allegedly due to the imposed law that punishes denial of genocide and prohibits glorification of war criminals.
Although SNSD deputies attended one of the sessions to support agreements concerning the BiH entity of Republika Srpska, the opposition (SDS, PDP, DNS) was not present at that time, and on Wednesday, PDP representatives are also expected to attend the session.
