Šarović and Kalaba: We have fulfilled the most important condition for milk export to the European Union

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH has received an official notification addressed to the competent institutions of BiH regarding the fulfillment of conditions for milk export to the EU, and all six recommendations have been fully accepted, confirmed Minister Mirko Šarović at today's press conference, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Šarović expressed gratitude to all institutions, as well as the entity ministries of agriculture, forestry and water management, which provided support and agreed on the method of establishing a structure for international trade in animal products. In the future, the Veterinary Office of BiH will be the guarantor of the quality of milk, as well as other animal products.

- This is the most important step in fulfilling the conditions for exporting animal products to the EU. It concerns the establishment of a structure not only for milk export, but for all other products.

Ljubomir Kalaba, director of the Veterinary Office of BiH, stated that it is very important that they managed to prove to the European Commission that they found the right way to solve these problems in BiH.

- We have done all this in accordance with the veterinary law, so we have the consent of the European Commission that such a law will ensure the export of these products. I hope these laws will be adopted very soon - said Kalaba.
