Sarić visits 'Bambine': Increase investment for sports clubs working with persons with disabilities

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Investment in the development of sports, and especially for sports clubs where persons with disabilities train, must be increased, says Nihad Sarić, SDP BiH candidate for the KS Assembly.

Today, accompanied by Belma Kapo, SDP BiH candidate for the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament, he attended a training session of the Women's Wheelchair Basketball Club (ŽKKK) Bambi from Sarajevo. Šefika Skorupan, a basketball player and president of ŽKKK Bambi, stated in her conversation with Sarić that they are pleased with the support from the SDP BiH candidates.

Sarić stated that he is aware of all the difficulties faced by persons with disabilities, especially those in wheelchairs. Therefore, it is necessary to raise the level of understanding, as well as social inclusion of persons with disabilities, to the highest possible level.

- No society that discriminates against and marginalizes persons with disabilities can call itself democratic. If I succeed in entering the KS Assembly, one of my initiatives will be greater financial support for all sports clubs that work with children and persons with disabilities. It is high time that we create a society of equal opportunities for all of us, without exception - concluded Sarić.

Incidentally, ŽKKK Bambi, or Bambine, has been declared the best women's team in the Sarajevo Canton several times, and they have brought numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals, as well as many plaques and recognitions to BiH during their years of operation.
