Sarajevo residents mark Day of Support for the Palestinian People

Lectures at the Gazi Husrev-bey Library in Sarajevo will mark Quds Day in Bosnia and Herzegovina tomorrow, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Quds Day is marked in almost all countries around the world and aims to provide support to Palestinians fighting for their land and human rights, as well as to draw the world's attention to the suffering and hardships that Palestinians have been enduring for 66 years at the hands of Israel.

The association "Young Muslims" has traditionally marked the International Day dedicated to Jerusalem, known as Quds Day, for almost 15 years. This year, it will have special significance due to Israel's aggression on the Gaza Strip. Quds Day is marked on the last Friday of Ramadan after the Friday prayer.

This year, the association "Young Muslims" will mark Quds Day with a special program at the Gazi Husrev-bey Library on July 25, starting at 2:00 PM. Introductory speeches will be given by Fatmir Alispahić, journalist, writer, and publicist, and Majed Marouf, former ambassador of Palestine to BiH and current president of the Association of the Palestinian Community in BiH.

The event will also include the signing of the petition "Support for Palestine – Prayer for the People of Gaza." This petition will also be signed in other places around the world where Quds Day will be marked, reports Patria.
