Sarajkić handed over to the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office: Motive for murder being determined, witnesses questioned

(Patria) - Nihad Sarajkić, suspected of the criminal offenses of murder and illegal possession of weapons, has been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office.

He will be detained for 24 hours, and after the prosecutor questions him within that legal deadline, a decision on further measures will be made.

Nihad Sarajkić is suspected of fatally shooting a 39-year-old man with a pistol yesterday at around 4:50 PM on Wilson's Promenade.

Following the crime scene investigation led by the duty prosecutor, 16 shell casings and a pistol were found at the murder scene. An order for an autopsy of the victim's body has been issued, after which we will know how many bullets struck the deceased.

Meanwhile, the investigation continues to determine the motive for the murder. Witnesses are being questioned, expert analyses have been ordered, as well as other evidentiary actions.
