Woman from Sarajevo accused of pimping a minor in apartments in Banja Luka

(Patria) - E.V. from Sarajevo has been accused of pimping a minor for prostitution in apartments in Banja Luka, as well as other locations.

In this case, police officer Z.P. from Banja Luka is also under investigation, who was arrested with her for sexual abuse of the victim, Nezavisne reports.

Namely, the District Public Prosecutor's Office of Banja Luka charges E.V. from Sarajevo with the criminal offense of inciting a child to prostitution, and the indictment has been confirmed by the Basic Court in Banja Luka.

The case against Z.P. is in the investigation phase for the criminal offense of abuse of official position or authority in conjunction with the criminal offense of sexual abuse of a child over 15 years of age.

Incidentally, the woman from Sarajevo and police officer Z.P. were arrested last year in July in an operation by the Banja Luka police.

The media reported at the time that the police officer had asked E.V. to pay D.M. for the rent of an apartment and had contacted E.V. multiple times between July 18 and 25, asking her to pay the money.

Allegedly, the woman from Sarajevo was pimping the girl in that apartment to men and taking money from them for it.

There were also reports that E.V. had brought the minor from Sarajevo to Banja Luka to pimp her for money, which the accused would take.

However, the details of this heinous act were not disclosed to protect the minor victim.

During the arrest, the police searched residential and other premises used by them at several locations in Banja Luka and found certain items that will serve as evidence in court.

As announced at the time by the Police Administration of Banja Luka, Z.P. will be suspended from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska and an internal procedure will be initiated against him.

Incidentally, if found guilty, the woman from Sarajevo faces a prison sentence of several years, as the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska prescribes a penalty of one to eight years in prison for inciting a child to prostitution.

As for the police officer, a penalty of one to 10 years, or two to 12 years, is prescribed for abuse of official position or authority, and two to eight years for sexual abuse of a child over 15 years of age.
