Sarajevo police arrested six people for fraud

(Patria) - Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector of the MUP KS Police Administration, under the supervision of the Prosecutor of the KS Prosecutor's Office, with the technical support of the Intelligence Security Agency of BiH, carried out an operational action codenamed "Trougao".

Six people were arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "Participation in a group of people who commit a criminal offense" (Article 341, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of FBiH), in connection with the criminal offenses of "Fraud in economic business" (Article 251, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of FBiH) and "Fraud" (Article 294, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of FBiH).

The arrested individuals are: Dž.R., born in 1978 in Sarajevo, M.O., born in 1976 in Sarajevo, E.Z., born in 1974 in North Macedonia, M.Č., born in 1967 in Foča, J.R., born in 1977 in Sarajevo, and S.A., born in 1978 in Sarajevo - all from Sarajevo.

The individual J.R. was the subject of three operational searches due to the grounds for suspicion that they had committed the criminal offense of "Deception in obtaining loans or other benefits" (Article 268 of the Criminal Code of FBiH) in the previous period.

Searches of residential and business premises were conducted at several locations in the municipalities of Centar, Novi Grad, and Ilidža, in order to document criminal offenses in the area of economic crime, which were committed to the detriment of several natural and legal persons.

Extensive documentation was found and seized, as requested by the Order, which will be used in further criminal proceedings.

Police officers of the Criminal Police Sector, under the supervision of the acting prosecutor, are continuing their work on this case, announced the Police Administration of the MUP KS.
