(Patria) - A police officer from the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP KS) Police Directorate was arrested tonight for domestic violence.
This was confirmed by the spokesperson for MUP KS, Mersiha Novalić, who explained that the arrest was carried out on the order of a prosecutor from the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.
- The police officer was deprived of his liberty tonight on grounds of suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of domestic violence.
Given that this is a criminal offense with priority on victim protection, we will not be releasing further information - Novalić added.
