
(Patria) - One of the two workers injured this morning after a gas cylinder explosion and fire at the Bosnian National Theatre (BNP) building in Zenica sustained life-threatening injuries.
After initial treatment at the Zenica Cantonal Hospital, he was transferred to the Clinical Centre of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS) due to the severity of his injuries, where doctors are fighting for his life.
The other injured worker is stable and remains under treatment at the Zenica Cantonal Hospital, writes Faktor.
At the time of the explosion, three workers were on the construction site on the roof of the BNP. One, who was caught by the fire, was slightly injured, while another managed to jump from the roof.
An investigation into the circumstances that led to the cylinder explosion is underway, as well as determining whether occupational safety procedures were followed in this case.
