Sarajevo's DIVEL and Ljubljana's DRI to supervise construction of Corridor 5C on Vranduk – Ponirak section

(Patria) - Construction of the most demanding part of the highway section on Corridor 5C in central Bosnia, for which a loan of almost 50 million euros was signed with the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), should begin by the end of the year.

The project consists of the construction of a 17.7-kilometer-long section on the Nemila – Donja Gračanica stretch, which includes a 5.7-kilometer-long sub-section Nemila – Vranduk, 5.1 kilometers on the Vranduk - Ponirak part, and a 6.9-kilometer-long sub-section Ponirak – Donja Gračanica.

A consortium composed of the domestic and Slovenian companies DIVEL d.o.o. Sarajevo and DRI upravljanje investicij d.o.o. Ljubljana has already been awarded the contract for the supervision of the Vranduk – Ponirak sub-section, worth 2,081,900 million EUR (excluding VAT), and a contractor should be selected by the end of the year.

This sub-section begins in the southern part of the Nemila settlement – Stara stanica location. It crosses the Bosna River with two bridges, while the route passes through the Vranduk region via the Vranduk tunnel. It then continues above the Koprivna settlement, on the right bank of the Bosna River, and ends near the Ponirak settlement.

Retaining walls, two bridges, a tunnel, and three viaducts will be built along this length.

The planned construction period is 24 months.
