Sarajevo police arrested suspects for throwing bombs at the houses of Čengić and Deljković

(Patria) - Sarajevo police arrested two individuals on suspicion of detonating explosive devices yesterday in the immediate vicinity of the family home of the Mayor of Stari Grad Municipality, Irfan Čengić.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Canton of Sarajevo (MUP KS) announced that two men, identified by initials M.H. (1995) and B.A. (1992), both from Sarajevo, were arrested on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Causing General Danger (Article 323 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Both arrested individuals are currently in the official premises of the Police Administration of the MUP KS undergoing criminal processing, according to the MUP KS statement.

Bomb thrown at Irfan Čengić's house

(Patria) - Throwing a bomb at the house where my family and I live will not discourage me from continuing the processes we promised the people, said the Mayor of Stari Grad, Irfan Čengić, after a bomb was thrown at his house last night.

The police emphasize that the arrested men are also linked to the criminal offense of detonating an explosive device in Kreštalica Street, where the councilor of the Stari Grad Municipal Council, Vedad Deljković, lives, which occurred on March 26, 2024.

Police officers of the Police Administration of the MUP KS continue to work on documenting these criminal offenses and clarifying all circumstances of their commission.
