Sarajevo police are searching for the motorcyclist who drove Sejfović away after his escape from the KPZ

Sarajevo police are actively searching for the masked accomplice of Amel Sejfović who waited for him on a motorcycle after his escape from KPZ Sarajevo, writes the Patria agency.

Sejfović escaped from KPZ Sarajevo on September 3rd, after which he hid for eight days until he was apprehended on Monday, September 11th, in the area of Visoko. He was armed but did not use his weapon. He was first returned to KPZ Sarajevo, and then the KS Prosecutor's Office requested his transfer to KPZ Zenica, which was carried out.

In the Sejfović case, pre-trial detention has been ordered for seven individuals suspected of assisting him in his escape and afterwards.

Also at KPZ Zenica are three employees of the Sarajevo KPZ, two guards and a medical technician, for whom one-month pre-trial detention has been ordered. They are suspected of providing Sejfović with a weapon and failing to perform a series of official duties, thus preventing the detainee's escape. Three more individuals are in pre-trial detention, two who drove Sejfović to the ZDK area and one who brought him food.

Interestingly, no responsibility has been assigned to the responsible persons at KPZ Sarajevo, who clearly had deficiencies in their own system.

Otherwise, the Intelligence-Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina played the biggest role in locating Sejfović, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS, Ministry of Internal Affairs of ZDK, Ministry of Internal Affairs of SBK, SIPA, FUP, and the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the entire operation.
