Sarajevo Police Seize Three Cars, None of the Drivers Have a Driver's License, Owe Over 46,000 KM in Fines

(Patria) - Sarajevo police continue with the temporary seizure of motor vehicles during ongoing checks.

Thus, on Monday, in Vrbanja Street, Centar Sarajevo municipality, police checked a passenger motor vehicle "BMW", owned by A.A., which was being driven by S.Dž., born in 1985 in Sarajevo, where he also resides. Checks revealed that the named individual was driving without a valid driver's license, and in the register of fines and misdemeanor records, he has a debt for unpaid fines amounting to 6,450.00 KM, and is a repeat offender in traffic violations. The vehicle was temporarily seized from the offender, and a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for the violation under Article 184 of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.

On February 4, 2024, at 5:30 PM, in Jošanička Street, Vogošća municipality, police officers of the Vogošća Police Station checked a passenger motor vehicle "Honda Civic", owned by E.H., which was being driven by V.S., born in 1992 in Sarajevo, where he also resides. Checks revealed that the 32-year-old was driving an unregistered motor vehicle with unauthorized license plates, without a valid driver's license, and in the register of fines and misdemeanor records, he has a debt for unpaid fines amounting to 14,820.00 KM, and is a repeat offender in traffic violations. The vehicle was temporarily seized from the offender. A request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for the violations under Articles 184, 207, and 209 of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.

On February 5, 2024, at 1:30 AM, in Safeta Hadžića Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, police officers of the Traffic Unit checked a passenger motor vehicle "Renault Megane", with unauthorized license plates, owned by Dž.T., which was being driven by 26-year-old K.M. from Sarajevo. Checks revealed that the named individual was driving without a valid driver's license, and in the register of fines and misdemeanor records, he has a debt for unpaid fines amounting to 24,991.80 KM, and is a repeat offender in traffic violations. The vehicle was temporarily seized from the offender, and a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for the violations under Articles 152, 184, 43, 297, and 209 of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.
