Sarajevo Police Seize Two Motor Vehicles, Fine Debt Exceeds 77,000 KM

(Patria) - Police officers from the Novi Grad and Ilidža police stations temporarily seized two motor vehicles in the past 24 hours.

Police officers inspected a passenger motor vehicle "Lada", owned by M.Š. from Banja Luka, which was being driven by 35-year-old F.H. from Sarajevo.

"Checks revealed that the named individual was driving an unregistered vehicle with non-matching license plates, did not possess a valid driver's license, and has a debt in the register of fines and misdemeanor records amounting to 24,109.00 KM, and is a repeat offender in traffic violations," the police stated.

The vehicle was temporarily seized from the offender, and a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for violations under Articles 207 and 209 of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo.

The previous night, police officers in Kurt Schork Street inspected a passenger motor vehicle "BMW", owned by F.A. from Prijedor, which was being driven by 24-year-old R.S. from Sarajevo.

"Checks in the register of fines and misdemeanor records revealed that the named individual has a debt for unpaid fines amounting to 53,530.00 KM, and is a repeat offender in traffic violations. The vehicle was temporarily seized from the offender, and a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for the violation under Article 227 of the Law on Road Traffic Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo," the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton stated.
