Sarajevo Police Seize Two Cars, Drivers Without Licenses, Owe 86,000 KM in Fines

(Patria) - Sarajevo police temporarily seized two cars during the previous day.

"On March 19, 2024, at 23:25 hours in Muhameda ef. Pandže Street, Novo Sarajevo municipality, police officers of the Novo Sarajevo Police Station inspected a passenger motor vehicle 'Opel Corsa', owned by A.B., driven by E.P., born in 1997 in Sarajevo, where he resides. Checks revealed that the named individual was driving the motor vehicle after the expiration of registration, without a valid driver's license, and in the register of fines and misdemeanor records, he has a debt for unpaid fines in the amount of 5,660.00 KM, and is a repeat offender in committing traffic violations. The vehicle was temporarily seized from the violator, and a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for the committed violation under the Law on the Basics of Traffic Safety on Roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo," states the report of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

"On March 20, 2024, at 11:00 hours in Bojnička Street, Ilidža municipality, police officers of the Ilidža Police Station inspected a passenger motor vehicle 'VW Golf', driven by S.S., born in 1991 in Sarajevo, where he resides. Checks revealed that the named individual in the register of fines and misdemeanor records has a debt for unpaid fines in the amount of 80,930.80 KM, and is a repeat offender in committing traffic violations.

The vehicle was temporarily seized from the violator, and a request for initiating misdemeanor proceedings for the committed violation under Article 172 of the Law on the Basics of Traffic Safety on Roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be submitted to the Municipal Court in Sarajevo," it was announced.
