Sarajevo police found a loaded pistol without a permit on a 32-year-old man

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On Tuesday evening, members of the Support Unit of the MUP KS Police Administration in Jahijela Fincija street, Ilidža municipality, stopped and controlled a person S.P., born in 1988 in Konjic, residing in Sarajevo.

During the check, a Pietro Beretta pistol with a magazine and seven 9 mm rounds was found and confiscated from him, for which he does not possess a permit from the competent authority.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed a criminal offense under Article 74 of the Law on the Production and Trade of Weapons and Ammunition, S.P. was deprived of his liberty and handed over to the premises of the Unit for Security of Objects and Detention of Detained Persons of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton.

The duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed. Police officers are continuing the criminal investigation of the said person.
