Sarajevo police issued 1,103 tickets to drivers for illegal parking

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton issued 1,103 tickets to drivers who parked illegally in spaces designated for persons with disabilities from January 1 to May 31.

For the same reason, 13 vehicles were towed by a special "tow truck" vehicle.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton reminds citizens that illegal parking in spaces reserved for persons with disabilities is prohibited by the Law on Basic Road Safety in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton continue to monitor and control accessibility signs, i.e., parking in parking spaces designated for persons with disabilities.

They appeal to citizens to respect traffic regulations and to show a particularly appropriate level of awareness for the needs of drivers with disabilities.
