Sarajevogas: Close valves in front of all gas appliances

(Patria) - Due to the emergency situation caused by a failure on the gas distribution pipeline in Bulgaria and the suspension of gas supply, there will be problems with gas supply in the Sarajevo Canton.

"We ask users to be considerate and to stop gas consumption by closing the valves in front of all gas appliances in their residential building, as well as the valve handle in the Regulation and Metering Set – RMS. This will preserve the safety of the gas system, as well as the further supply of gas once the supply is normalized," stated KJKP Sarajevogas.
Note:

Gas is shut off if the valve handle in the regulation and metering set box is perpendicular to the gas pipe, meaning the valve handle must not be turned in the direction of the pipe.

When the situation normalizes and the normal gas supply to the Sarajevo Canton is re-established, Sarajevogas will inform consumers about how to proceed and how to reactivate gas appliances.

Sarajevogas emphasizes that no work should be carried out on internal gas installations during the gas supply interruption.

"We ask you to close the valves in front of all consumers. If a padlock is placed on the RMS (metering set), it must be removed; otherwise, authorized teams from KJKP Sarajevo-gas d.o.o. will remove it. If the RMS are in a locked space, access must be provided," they added.
