Sarajevo: Victims heading to The Hague to attend Karadžić verdict

Representatives of associations of victims and witnesses from across Bosnia and Herzegovina set off from Sarajevo this morning by bus towards The Hague, reports the Patria news agency. 

Mothers of Srebrenica, members of the "War Victim" association, associations of camp detainees and other associations will attend the reading of the verdict against Radovan Karadžić in the courtroom of the Hague Tribunal, scheduled for March 24. 

They stated that Karadžić is the person most responsible for the loss of tens of thousands of lives and that they believe the verdict against Karadžić will show and prove that genocide was also committed in other municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

- This is a historic verdict. Karadžić must be convicted on all counts of the indictment, said Munira Subašić, adding that Karadžić is not only responsible for the death of her son, but also for Ana and Mara, who cry just as she does.
