Sarajevo: 13th Kid's Festival Concluded

On the last day of the event, the program of the 13th Kid’s Festival was visited by Mirvad Kurić, Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, who stated that when you do things that are good for children, you automatically do good for the entire community, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

- This country must provide its children with more opportunities, more events like the Kid's Festival, because children are its future. I am also aware of how much stress and effort the organizers themselves experience in organizing such an event, and for that reason, we will do everything in our power at the relevant Ministry of Culture and Sports of KS to help them. We have been supporting the Kid's Festival from year to year, and we are already in negotiations for some of our organizers from Sarajevo to go to Italy and other countries where the Kid's Festival will be held in the coming period - Kurić stated.

Susanne Prahl, Director of the Kids Festival, said that the 13th Kids Festival exceeded all expectations, considering that we changed the festival concept significantly this year.

- All workshops, and especially our Kid's stage, were full of children from all over BiH who presented themselves with dance, songs, poetry, gymnastics, and they were precisely the main content of this year's Kid's Festival. The executive director of the Kid's Festival Tunis was with us all days of the festival and did not hide his enthusiasm. Next year, we want even more space, even more people, and to hold Kid's Festivals all over the world. Already in August this year, we are going to Italy where we will hold the first edition of the Kid's Festival - Susanne Prahl emphasized.

The workshop "World of Fairy Tales" by the Goethe Institute, the promotional stand of the Embassy of Brazil, and the Embassy of Kuwait were among the most visited attractions on the last day of the festival. The programs of the 13th Kid’s Festival were held under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
