(Patria) - A peaceful protest and march are underway in Sarajevo in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza. The gathering began shortly before 12 PM at the plateau near Sebilj, from where the peaceful march started.
Participants are carrying banners in English appealing to stop the killing of civilians, children are carrying flags they drew themselves, and many are also wearing scarves that are a symbol of the Palestinian struggle.
This is the second pro-Palestinian protest in Sarajevo; the previous one gathered nearly 10,000 people, and numerous protests have also been organized in other cities in BiH.
The Independent Gathering of Youth in Bosnia and Herzegovina called on citizens to gather for a peaceful march in support of the residents of Gaza who are being killed daily in Israeli attacks.
The goal of the event is to raise awareness of the severe humanitarian conditions faced by people in Palestine and to honor those who have been killed.
