Sarajevo for Barcelona: Music for Peace and Remembrance, Tribute to Victims of Terrorism

Organized by the International Peace Center, a gathering to condemn terrorism in Barcelona was held in Sarajevo today, starting at 12 PM.

"Musica per la pau e la memoria – For the innocent victims of terrorism in Barcelona – NO PASARAN" was the name of the event held to pay tribute to the innocent victims of terrorism in Barcelona.

Citizens of Sarajevo expressed their condolences, sharing their grief and pain with the families of the victims and those affected by the senseless terrorist attacks on innocent civilians. Sarajevo and Barcelona have been sister cities for over 21 years, and Barcelona stood by the citizens of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina during its most difficult times.

Artists Nejla Komar and Fatima Mehmedović performed Albinoni's Adagio and played music for peace and remembrance.

Following the terrorist attack in Barcelona, the president of the International Peace Center, Ibrahim Spahić, extended sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and expressed support for the recovery of the injured, condemning all forms of terrorism, violence, and attacks on innocent civilians.

- In Barcelona, during the siege of Sarajevo, Albinoni's Adagio was played exactly at noon on La Rambla. It was "musica per la pau e la memoria" for the innocent victims of terror against the city and its citizens - Spahić recalled.

We remind you that 14 people were killed and more than 100 were injured in the terrorist attack that occurred in Barcelona on Thursday. The attacker drove a van through pedestrians on La Rambla street, in the center of the Catalan capital.
