Sarajevo: Worker dies after metal structure of concrete pump breaks at construction site

At a construction site on Urijan Dedina street on Thursday around 2:15 PM, the metal structure of a mobile concrete pump operated by S.R. broke, and worker I.I., born in 1954, sustained severe injuries and died, reports the BH news agency Patria.

The unfortunate worker suffered severe head injuries, and the investigation was conducted by the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo, police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, forensic experts in medicine and mechanical engineering, and the occupational safety inspector.

The body of the deceased was transported by a vehicle of KJKP Pokop to the Bare morgue, where an external examination will be performed, and an autopsy if necessary.

On the same day at 8:10 PM, S.R., born in 1958, residing in Sarajevo, was arrested on suspicion of committing grave criminal offenses against general safety of people and property, in connection with causing general danger.
