Sarajevo: Murderers of Miroslav Lazarević arrested, burned car with rifle and ammunition

In Aleja lipa street, on the night between Saturday and Sunday around 02:05 AM, a BMW car was set on fire, and witnesses saw two people leaving, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton announced, writes Patria.

Upon receiving the report, police officers were dispatched to the scene to secure the location and apprehend the perpetrators. Through a swift intervention by police officers of the Second Police Administration, at 02:30 AM in Džemala Bijedića street, one of the perpetrators was found and identified as A. B., born in 1986, residing in Istočno Sarajevo. At 02:35 AM in Nedima Filipovića street, number 6, municipality of Novo Sarajevo, the second perpetrator was found and identified as S. V., born in 1982, residing in Bijeljina.

At 02:40 AM, the fire was extinguished by the Sarajevo Fire Department, and the car was completely destroyed. During the inspection of the vehicle, police officers noticed an automatic rifle with an attached magazine and another spare ammunition magazine in the rear seat area.

The apprehended duo was detained on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of causing general danger. Based on a written notification from the East Sarajevo Public Security Center (CJB Istočno Sarajevo), stating that there are grounds to suspect that the mentioned individuals may be connected to the commission of the criminal offense of "Aggravated Murder" committed on October 16, 2016, around 02:00 AM, using firearms, in the area of the Municipality of Istočno Novo Sarajevo, the individuals were handed over to the jurisdiction of the police officers of CJB Istočno Sarajevo.

We remind you that Miroslav Lazarević was murdered in Istočno Novo Sarajevo last night, and after the murder, the perpetrators came to the area of Novo Sarajevo and set the car on fire.
