Sarajevo returns to the top spot, Englishman decides for Željo at Koševo

(Patria) - With a victory against fierce city rival Željezničar, Sarajevo footballers have returned to the top of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The Bordo team took the lead in the 37th minute with a goal from the excellent Englishman Matthias Fanimo, and Jasmin Mešanović increased the lead to 2:0, following a mistake by the Željezničar defense and an assist from Aleksandar Pejović in the 45th minute. 

Fanimo scored again with an excellently executed free-kick in the 61st minute. 

A little earlier, Semir Štilić missed a penalty; more precisely, Sarajevo's goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević saved it. 

In the 72nd minute, Luka Juričić reduced the deficit to 3:1. 

In the remainder of the match, there were many chances in front of both goals, but the nets did not shake anymore. 

After a poor start to the second half of the season, Sarajevo squandered a nine-point lead and briefly lost first place, however, after today's victory, they return to the top with a two-point lead over Borac. 

Željezničar is in the middle of the table, with diminishing chances of qualifying for Europe.
