A monograph on wartime rape and sexual abuse during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina was presented today at the Gazi Husrev-beg Library in Sarajevo, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
The president of the Association „Woman-Victim of War“, Bakira Hasečić, said that even 20 years after the end of the wartime horrors, rape victims do not have sufficient support from the state. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, as in other Balkan countries, the view that, alongside the genocide in Srebrenica, the crimes of rape are the most serious crimes committed during the Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina has still not been accepted.
At the promotion, it was also stated that the monograph is dedicated to all those rape victims who mustered the courage to stand up and embark on a fight for justice and truth, writes NAP.
