SARAJEVO: Pools, betting shops, gyms to close from tomorrow

(Patria) - The Government of Sarajevo Canton adopted new measures today in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

A proposal to suspend the operation of public pools and beaches, betting shops, sports centers, spas, fitness centers, and gyms in the Sarajevo Canton area was adopted. The measure takes effect from tomorrow.

Otherwise, a curfew from 9 PM to 5 AM is in effect, and catering facilities are closed until April 4.

Scheduled sports competitions will be allowed to take place, but without spectators, as has been the case so far. All recreational sports activities indoors are prohibited, with the exception of professional sports activities and competitions, without spectators, while respecting epidemiological measures, and outdoor training is allowed.

All the aforementioned orders are valid until April 3, 2021.

This measure will be in effect as long as the current ban on catering facilities lasts, a source in the Government of Sarajevo Canton confirmed.
