SARAJEVO Another sad anniversary of the murder of Denis Mrnjavac marked

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - By laying flowers at the tram stop “Tehnička škola” in Sarajevo, the 13th anniversary of the murder of Denis Mrnjavac was marked today.

Mrnjavac was attacked on February 5, 2008, while returning from school, by three minors on a tram, who inflicted severe bodily injuries from which he died the following day.

Denis's mother Ana Mrnjavac said at today's commemoration of the sad anniversary that even after 13 years, everything is still very painful and sad.

She added that she believes she will persevere because her son always gives her strength.

“Earthly justice does not exist because it would be just to return innocent lives, and that is impossible. We have to live, each new day. Somehow I think I will persevere, my son gives me strength. Every morning when I wake up, he tells me 'Mom, you can do it, be strong',” Mrnjavac said.

Denis Mrnjavac was killed in the most brutal way by his peers Nermin Sikirić, Ademir Lelović and Berin Talić.

Nermin Sikirić was sentenced to 10 years in prison for murder, while Ademir Lelović and Berin Talić were sentenced to 15 and 10 years in prison respectively for aiding.
