Sarajevo: Young Man and Woman Arrested for Car Theft

On Monday at 10:10 PM, in Vladimir Prelog Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality, police officers of the III Police Station found Dž.M., born in 1994 in Sarajevo, residing there, in the passenger seat of a parked "VW Golf" passenger motor vehicle, license plates E40-K-643, while Ć.M., born in 1995 in Hrenovica, residing in Sarajevo, was in the driver's seat. Checks revealed that the vehicle was stolen, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

The VW Golf vehicle was stolen on 02/27/2016 from a parking space in Antuna Branka Šimić Street, Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality, but the license plates do not belong to the stolen vehicle.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense under Article 287 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Grand Theft), Dž.M. and Ć.M. were deprived of their liberty and handed over to the Department for Detention of Detained Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed, and police officers are continuing their work on clarifying and documenting the criminal activities of the mentioned individuals.
