(Patria) - Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, in cooperation and mutual coordination with police officers of the Austrian Federal Criminal Police Office, deprived one person of liberty in the area of Sarajevo.
The arrest was carried out due to reasonable suspicion that, as a member of an organized crime group, he participated in the illegal drug trade in Austria.
The suspect, an Austrian citizen, was deprived of liberty based on an Interpol warrant from Austria, and the operational activities preceding the deprivation of liberty were conducted in the area of Tuzla Canton, specifically the municipality of Kalesija, in which officers of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina also actively participated.
After the criminal investigation was completed, the person was handed over to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legally prescribed period.
The international operational action was simultaneously carried out on the territory of Austria by the Federal Criminal Police Office, where seven persons were deprived of liberty.
