SARAJEVO Exhibition of paintings and sculptures by academic artists Hamzalija Muhić and Lejla Ćehajić

An exhibition of paintings and sculptures by academic artists Hamzalija Muhić and Lejla Ćehajić will open at the Art Gallery of BiH tonight and will last until the end of the month, writes Patria.

Lejla Ćehajić lives and works in Sarajevo. She combines various materials in her sculptures; polyester, wire, glass balls, and other materials. So far, she has exhibited in eight solo exhibitions and about sixty group exhibitions. She is the recipient of awards: "III Salon of Young BiH Artists", "Kenan Solaković" Sculpture Award, Sixth of April Exhibition of ULUBiH, International Award "Private and Public...

Hamzalija Muhić also lives and works in Sarajevo. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1987. So far, in his solo exhibitions, he has presented the public with several painting cycles: Sedimentation and Decay, Barren Land, As Evening Descends and Falls Across the Sky, Melancholy, and several other exhibitions. He is the recipient of several awards and recognitions, most notably the Grand Prix Collegium artisticum in 2009.
