At the upcoming fifth annual Summit 100, the leading business initiative in the region that brings together business leaders of Southeast Europe under the patronage of the region's political leaders, which will be held under the motto "Agreement for a New Era" from May 27-28 in Sarajevo, one of the special guests will be Ambassador Kari Kahiluoto, Chairman of the Nordic Council of Ministers, the body regulating economic cooperation between Nordic countries, writes the Patria News Agency.
In his special presentation on the first day of Summit 100, on the topic "Inspiration from the North," he will present the positive practices of economic cooperation of the Nordic countries, which can serve as an example for countries in this region for future economic cooperation and faster development. Namely, as far back as 1952, the Nordic countries decided to cooperate economically and act together in the world, aware that as small countries, they are less competitive if they act independently.
SAMIT100 business leaders of the region is a unique business initiative in Southeast Europe that brings together more than 100 leading business leaders from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, and Albania, and enables intensive discussion on taking responsibility for stronger regional connectivity through concrete proposals for improving economic cooperation.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the host for the first time, and the two-day program will be organized in the congress hall of the ASA Group building, Trg međunarodnog prijateljstva 25, Sarajevo.
"The gathering of leading business leaders in Sarajevo is an excellent opportunity to show that the countries of the region are an opportunity for each other, not a threat. Through joint efforts and the connections we have with the world, acting as a single market, we can turn the economy of Southeast Europe into the most dynamic business environment in the world," stated Amer Bukvić, Director of BBI Bank and co-chairman of this year's Summit100.
Summit100 is conceived as a strong cohesive force for economic cooperation, but also as a contribution to the efforts of political leaders to improve the competitiveness of the region and national economies.
"This year's Summit 100, under the patronage of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be held together with the Brdo-Brijuni Process, which will bring together political leaders of Southeast Europe. We expect more than 100 business leaders from the region along with political representatives," said Eldin Hadžiselimović, Director of ASA Holding and co-chairman of this year's Summit 100.
The organizers of Summit100 2016 are BBI Bank and ASA Holding from Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of the Managers' Association of Slovenia, the Serbian Association of Managers, the Croatian Employers' Association, Atlas Group from Montenegro, and Alkaloid from Macedonia.
