Cooperation between ICITAP and BiH police agencies proceeds without problems

The United States Embassy in BiH has a long-standing, positive cooperation with police and security agencies at all levels in BiH, the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) was told.

- Especially through the International Criminal Justice Training Assistance Program (ICITAP program), and as part of our work to support the development of professional and transparent law enforcement institutions that protect human rights, fight corruption, and work to reduce the threat posed by transnational crime and terrorism - said the Office of Public Relations in response to the inquiry of the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) regarding the information that the leadership of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) denied hospitality to ICITAP program employees.

- At different times, various police agencies, when able, have provided office space for ICITAP program advisors, thus supporting our joint work. The agencies currently doing so are SIPA and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska - stated the Public Relations Service.
