DF Youth Committee Statement: Discriminators and Vassals, Enough of You!

The Minister of Education of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elvira Dilberović, not only grossly discriminates against our world Olympians, young medal winners in physics and mathematics, in a segregational manner by failing to reward them (perhaps simply because they belong to certain educational institutions, which someone once told her in passing were not "ours and from our people"), but also profoundly undermines the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the independence and impartiality of its entity institutions – by making decisions based on the orders of domestic and foreign extra-institutional centers of power, it was announced from the Youth Committee of the DF PA, writes Patria.

- We ask ourselves by what criteria were the best among us not rewarded? What conditions did our world-renowned young physicists and mathematicians fail to meet?

Geniuses whose knowledge and abilities world powers would pay dearly for. And they will. And they do.

As long as we have vassal and discriminatory authorities. In both entities. And let neither the first nor the second complain when members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina go for instructions to Zagreb or Ankara, or the third when the president of the entity goes for instructions to Belgrade.

Let the representatives of neither the first, nor the second, nor the third in Bosnia and Herzegovina complain when foreign flags are waved in squares, stadiums, and streets. Let them not complain, because they all do the same and will continue to do so, until their citizens tell them otherwise.

Therefore, the Youth Committee of the Democratic Front calls on the federal minister to annul the Decision on awarding prizes as soon as possible, to make a new one that will include our world-awarded physicists and mathematicians and thus correct the gross injustice inflicted upon them, and to resign for moral reasons – if nothing else, let her take inspiration from the moral daughter of her institutional boss, the federal prime minister.

Because, dear minister, we do not want a country where those you deem unsuitable are not rewarded, where the best are forgotten. We do not want a society where young people are hypocritically told to work in the private sector, while the children of those who preach this are illegally employed in the public sector.

We do not want a society of inequality, where decisions are made based on arbitrary and unfounded suspicions, a priori conclusions, gossip, and "he said, she said" stories (if the opposite were true, law enforcement agencies would have done something by now – we still call on them to act), in informal gatherings and cafes, during "behind closed doors" visits.

We do not want to see the best among us off at bus stations and airport waiting rooms.

We do not want vassal politicians, but statesmen and stateswomen who will fight for every one of our peers, regardless of any affiliation.

We want a country and society where the best and most capable among us are valued and rewarded, not shamelessly humiliated!

P.S. Dear minister, spare us the insult to our intelligence with talk of jurisdiction... you are not authorized to shame and humiliate us, especially when we are paying you! – the statement reads.
