Not even a year was enough for the reconstruction of the tram track from Ilidža to Čengić-Vila, and although the Minister of Transport Adnan Šteta (SDP) announced that the tram would be operational on September 1st, this did not happen.
However, considering that Minister Šteta took a ride on the tram before September 1st, the tram issue is clearly over for him. Although the reconstruction continued the very next day, and a few days ago work began on the reconstruction of a section of the track to Remiza and the turning loop at Čengić Vila, Minister Šteta is no longer commenting on trams, deadlines, or tram rides. There are no more videos of rides either, even though he announced a test ride. Therefore, the minister's ride was on the old tracks.
Although other members of the KS Government, and even the president of NIP Elmedin Konaković, who said about the delay "well, we are not Finland" and that a 15-day delay can be tolerated, stood up in Šteta's defense, perhaps the KS Government could take a calendar and start counting the days past the deadline.
Traffic from Ilidža to Čengić Vila continues to be served by buses, which is burdening the already overcrowded main thoroughfare.

When it rains, traffic jams are inevitable. No one is commenting on the date when the works on the main thoroughfare near Remiza might be completed, and until then, citizens are left with only patience and walking, as they often cannot even get on the packed buses.
