Salkić: Citizens should not fear conflict, the Court, Prosecutor's Office, OHR should react

(Patria) - Vice President of the BiH entity Republika Srpska Ramiz Salkić called on citizens to remain calm and not to fear conflict.

"Harassment of Bosniak returnees can be prevented by sanctioning all those who spread ethnic and religious hatred and undermine the constitutional order. The Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH are on the move. Returnees are shocked that such messages are being sent 26 years after the war. By its inaction, the BiH Prosecutor's Office is sending a message that all those who send hate messages will go unpunished. They are actually doing the greatest injustice to their own people through such behavior. War criminals who have not been prosecuted today live in the smaller BiH entity, the opportunity for the BiH Prosecutor's Office to punish those responsible has been missed, and as a consequence we have incidents and threats today," said Salkić for Hayat.

The OHR, according to its mandate, is obliged to preserve peace and the constitutional order of BiH, Salkić believes, adding that the High Representative has the authority to use the Bonn Powers.

"Every attack on Bosniaks is a direct call for the OHR to react. By mandate, he is tasked with protecting the Dayton Peace Agreement and its civilian implementation. Schmidt has autonomy in making decisions to protect the BiH Constitution. However, we must first rely on ourselves to protect our family, hearth, and homeland. If we are not ready for that, no one will guarantee us the integrity of BiH. I believe we will not allow a repeat of '92. After the parade on the occasion of the unconstitutional day of the smaller entity RS and the fascist chants of members of the RS MUP, there are no more dilemmas, and everything is clear to the international community. The sooner they react, the sooner we will emerge from this crisis," Salkić points out.

Regarding Dodik's insults towards Bosniaks, but also Americans, Salkić says they are a result of protection from Moscow and Beijing.

"Dodik calls Bosniaks occupiers on the Drina, even though in '91 they made up two-thirds of the population in that area. His protection is reflected in Russia and China. In the absence of decisive actions by our friends from the West, enemies are allowed to put down roots here. BiH is defending the civilizational values of Europe. If separatist forces win on this territory, they will also win in other places across the EU. The USA, Great Britain, and the EU must sanction Dodik, the people around him, and the companies that support that regime," Salkić concludes.
