Salihović: BiH Prosecutor's Office is not conducting any investigation against Radončić

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not conducting an investigation against Fahrudin Radončić, president of the Alliance for a Better Future – Fahrudin Radončić, as stated in a letter signed today by Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihović, which was delivered to the media by this party, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Namely, Radončić requested a statement from the state Prosecutor's Office after a prosecutor from the Special Prosecutor's Office in Priština mentioned him in the proceedings against Naser Keljmendi, which are being conducted in Kosovo. The media reported that the foreign prosecutor mentioned Radončić, and some other BiH citizens, as part of an organized crime group.

However, the BiH Prosecutor's Office, which led the investigation against Keljmendi, stated today that Radončić has no legal status in that or any other case.

In the response of the BiH Prosecutor's Office dated 16/07/2014, number A-I-231/14, to Radončić's inquiry, Chief Prosecutor Goran Salihović states:

- Pursuant to your inquiry of 15/07/2014 regarding the legal status of Fahrudin Radončić in the "Keljmendi case", we inform you that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is not conducting an investigation against Fahrudin Radončić, nor does he appear in any legal capacity in the mentioned case. We also inform you that after conducting checks through the registers of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, we have determined that the individual Fahrudin Radončić does not appear in any investigation case of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina". The SBB emphasizes that such a response from the BiH Prosecutor's Office was expected, reports NAP.
